The 1920s Black and White Whisky ads included a number of different breeds.
This poster from late 1921, features a photograph of two cute pups - a Black Scottie pup, and what looks very much like a White Westie pup with ears yet to achieve their upright character.

Another poster, from late 1923 appears to depict bi-coloured Cairn terriers. The Buchanan organisation had yet to settle on the Scottie and the Westie
as the main advertisers of their Black and White whisky.
